Yacht charter Dodecanese is an
Archipelago in the southeast Aegean between Crete, the Cyclades and the Coast
of Asia Minor.
The twelve main
islands, the number of which is the reason for their naming, are Rhodes,
Astypalia, Calimnos, Carapathos, Casos, Kos , Leros, Nissiros, Patmos, Symi,
Tilos and Chalki.
Other smaller and
mostly uninhabited islands belong to the yacht charter Dodecanese as well, but which
geographically are allocated to the Southern Sporades. The Archipelago of the yacht charter Dodecanese offers a diversified image.
The green Rhodes
with its dense forests and those barren islands as e.g. Castellorizo convert
the yacht charter Dodecanese cruise into an entertaining excursion.
Pines, cypresses and
wild olive trees, cedars and hollies wave in etesian, a local wind that can
become more intense even in summertime, and turn the yacht charter Dodecanese
into a pretentious yacht charter Dodecanese district.
Nevertheless, autumn
is also favoured by those yacht charter Dodecanese crews that prefer a calmer
breeze, because the etesian wind becomes less intense after August, with the
temperature levelling at pleasant 20 degrees of centigrade. Occasionally the
scents of the great variety of herbs, like marjoram, thyme, lavender and
oleander are in the air.
Rutted coastal
strips and the rocky hinterland provide shelter to many millions of migrating
birds every year. Especially the Island of Tilos is a birds’ paradise for the yacht charter Dodecanese crew interested so.
Rhodes, the major
and most important island of the yacht charter Dodecanese, was not only a base
for the crusaders, but it is still today a mecca for many cruiser lines and the
site of most of the yacht charter Dodecanese providers in the yacht charter Dodecanese.
Those yacht charter
Dodecanese crews that start from Rhodes should not omit the Island of Symi,
especially its eastern coast.
Although it does not
belong to the yacht charter Dodecanese, Samos is often laid by the yacht charter Dodecanese crews because of its ancient places and tranquil bays (e.g. near Potami or Pythagorio),
if allowed by the Meltemi that blows to the northeast.
Rich in ancient
sites in the yacht charter Dodecanese are also the Islands of Nisyros, Patmos and Tilos.
Though having been
governed by the Turks over centuries and a while (until 1947) having been administered
by the Italians, the yacht charter Dodecanese welcome the yacht charter Dodecanese crew in a
very Greek style.
